A few days after starting to search for Raphtalia and the others and saving Filo, I’m working with Kizuna to raise Filo’s level in the middle of our search. So, as we were taking a break, I pet Raph-chan and played with her.
Raph-chan is so quiet. She was created using Raphtalia’s hair, and she seems to have a quiet personality, much like the owner of the hair. She doesn’t whine about wanting to be petted, so I took the initiative and played with her.
With the shikigami strengthening tech skill gradually improving the quality of her fur, I brush her myself with a comb.
By improving both inside and out, you will become a pet loved by everyone.
“Hrmm…” There, my former pet cries in dissatisfaction. She jumps onto my shoulder and pulls my hair.
“What is it, Filo?”
Yes, Filo is strangely in a bad mood. Even though she’s usually carefree and even plays alone.
“Master is only caring for Raph-chan!”

Every morning, whilst exercising, I’d occasionally throw a branch and let her retrieve it in a manner similar to frisbee dog.
Even during the times when Filo was making a fuss about being bored, I played around with her whenever I had time to spare.
Also, Filo… isn’t this how my treatment of you usually goes anyway?
You don’t like me stroking Raph-chan that much? I used to treat you as a pet in the beginning. But then you started talking and talking and talking, so I switched to playing with you like a normal human being.
In that aspect, Raphtalia is more reserved.
Hmm? Filo is lower in standing than Raphtalia in both pet and human categories? Let’s not continue that line of thought.
“Not that, you know! Master only pets Raph-chan all the time, you know!”
“‘You know’…? What’s wrong with you?”
She’s using words that she doesn’t normally use. I have a feeling that Filo is mad at me for some reason… Did I do something to make her angry?
Somehow, it feels like I can kinda understand what her problem is, but not quite… the answer just escapes my mind.

“Boo! Master, you idiot!” While saying that, Filo flapped her wings and flew away. Though, she just sits on Kizuna’s shoulder and looks at me enviously afterward.
“Well~ what a lovely sight, don’t you think?”
“Oh, I see.”
It must be that. The kind of feeling that a big sister gets when she just got a little sister. To Filo, Raph-chan is like a little sister.
“Filo, this is a good opportunity for you to learn to be considerate of kids younger than you. Make sure to look after Raph-chan, okay?”
It’s the rite of passage necessary for Filo as the big sister to accept Raph-chan as her little sister.
I, too, have a younger brother, and it was something that I had to learn as someone who was born first.

“Rafuu?”
I think it will take some time for these two to get along.
With that in mind, we took a detour and ended up sleeping outdoors.

That’s what I thought, but there was something fluffy on my face…
“Master is Filo’s!” The fluffy object makes a loud noise. Since it was so close, it was especially noisy. Apparently, it’s Filo in the form of a Humming Fairy…

… She was seemingly attempting to intimidate Raph-chan by sitting on my face. I jumped and knocked Filo off.

“What are you doing, Filo!?”
Filo spreads her wings at me with teary eyes and responds to my angry voice.
“Master! You think Filo is cuter, right!?”
“Compared to someone who climbs onto the face of someone while they’re sleeping, of course the quiet one is better!”
“No way!”
After being told loud and clear, Filo becomes calm and quiet.
Seriously, what kind of brat climbs on the face of a sleeping person… wait, a human brat wouldn’t be able to do that in the first place.
“Uuugh…”
“Rafu rafu.” Raph-chan lightly taps Filo’s shoulder to cheer her up.
“Rafuu!”
After that, Raph-chan turned to me and cried, repeatedly doing so as if reprimanding me to show some more affection to Filo.
Yeah. I guess Raph-chan is the more mature one here.
“Raph-chan… Yes! Filo will also do her best to be loved by Master.”
I don’t know what Raph-chan said exactly, but Filo seems to have reflected on it.
“It’s relaxing, isn’t it?”
“That’s true.”
“Pen!”
Rishia and Kizuna, who’s petting Chris, muttered as they watched the scene unfold.
