“Greetings, young lady. My name is Motoyasu Kitamura, one of the four heroes summoned from another world. Pleased to meet you,” Motoyasu introduces himself to Raphtalia in front of the Dragon Hourglass, which we visited for the first time. “May I ask what your name is?”
“…”
Raphtalia was silently glaring at Motoyasu. She appears to have sensed that I was irritated.
That’s right, I don’t want to be in front of these guys for even a second.
“What business brings you here today? Surely there’s a reason for someone like you to have to wear such gnarly-looking armor and sword, right?”
This guy! Is anyone fine for him as long as it’s a woman!? To think that he’s hitting on such a little girl!
“Di…”
Raphtalia opened her mouth. What is she going to say?
“Disgusting! Don’t get carried away just because you’re good-looking! I can tell by your eyes that you’re a very frivolous and shallow man!”
Motoyasu’s smile is shaken. Ah, so he never had a woman he was aiming for say something like that before. Still, how pathetic of him to be able to be seen through by such a little girl.
Well, Raphtalia has had a rough time so far, so it’s unlikely that she would open her heart to a stranger.
“What did you say!? Such rudeness to Motoyasu-sama! Unforgivable!”
“Isn’t that because he thoughtlessly tries hitting on women in the first place?” As Motoyasu’s companion was complaining, Itsuki said, while shrugging his shoulders in displeasure.
“A shallow man, she says. Well, if you suddenly try to hit on her, then of course she’d think that.”
“Ugh… hahaha, what a cheerful young lady!” Motoyasu brushed his failure to the side. Pulling off the cool guy appeal now? Stop screwing around!
Still, that made me feel a little better.
“Naofumi, where did you recruit such a cute girl?”
“I have no reason to tell you.”
“Yes. Any involvement with this person will just sour our day. Let’s go, Naofumi-sama.”
“Oh, okay…”
What’s going on? I was kind of irritated, but Raphtalia seems to be in a much worse mood than me, doesn’t she?
—
After that, we overcame the Wave, and Motoyasu found out that Raphtalia was my slave, forcing me to fight him in a selfish duel, while demanding that I release her.
And then, Motoyasu approaches Raphtalia, whose slave crest has been lifted…
Damn… my vision turned pitch black… I hate everything…!
Just when that thought crossed my mind, Raphtalia struck Motoyasu across the cheek with her fist, and got on top of him as she continued punching his face.
“You coward! Scum who only knows how to trample those who stand no chance against you! Die! Repent to Naofumi-sama with your death!”
“Woah!? Gyaah! This girl is hitting me seriously! Help!”
My field of vision becomes clear in an instant. What the hell!? Raphtalia is punching Motoyasu for my sake!
“Somebody! Please stop her!”
“There’s no need to stop her, is there?” Ren and Itsuki warn the soldiers who are trying to stop her.
“He loves chasing women so much, so he deserves this much,” Itsuki said.
“Indeed,” Ren agreed.
“Hurry! Rescue the Spear Hero from this rude woman!”
Even with the order coming from the King, the soldiers fail to do anything in front of the terrifying pressure Raphtalia exudes.
“Ra-Raphtalia.”
“Na-Naofumi-sama!” Responding to my voice, Raphtalia approached me with a brighter expression.
“Ugh…that girl is a yandere. Yanderes are scary…”
Motoyasu trembled and ran away. That’s hilarious. It feels as though my burdens were suddenly lifted!
“I did it!”
“Yeah. Thank you, Raphtalia.”
“If he ever approaches Naofumi-sama again, I will use my fists to silence him!” Raphtalia, who felt better after being praised by me, turned to shadow box in the direction where Motoyasu fled.
So you hate him that much. Well, that’s good.
“I’m counting on you.”
“Yes!”
“You insolent demi-human! Such a barbaric act against the Spear Hero is unforgivable!”
“That’s my line! I saw it! The moment Naofumi-sama was about to win, I saw the figure of the person who shot magic at him from behind,” Raphtalia points at the princess.
“I, I don’t know what you’re talking about! Stop it with your delusions of victimhood!”
“No, we could see it too,” said Ren.
“I find that argument unconvincing. In fact, it’s your fault that Motoyasu-san lost due to foul play,” Itsuki continued.
“You coward! I’ll whip that attitude of yours back into shape!” Raphtalia jumped at the princess.
“N-no, stop!” the princess yells while running away. “Kill this insolent demi-human!”
“I won’t let that happen!”
I covered Raphtalia from the attacks flying toward her. After that, Ren and Itsuki stood up to protect me.
“I think people who cheat should be punished accordingly.”
“And yet, you won’t even repent. How does it feel to run away from your punishment?”
“Grrh… it can’t be helped. Malty, I’ll punish you later.”
“No way! Papa!”
The princess was taken away by the King.
“Naofumi-san. Could you please keep her in check now? I would like to avoid turning this into an even bigger scene.”
“Y-yeah…”
We were protected by Ren and Itsuki? Anyway, thanks to Raphtalia, I feel so much more relieved.

The next day… in the throne room, they’re reluctant to provide monetary support to us.
“To commit so many barbaric acts against Naofumi-sama… do you think anything good will come of it?” said a sullen Raphtalia while glaring at the soldiers and Motoyasu.
“What about the princess’ punishment yesterday? Please tell us what it was.”
“Yes. Please tell us,” Itsuki and the others joined.
This is… the tailwind is blowing in our favor!
“Grrh…”
“She didn’t get punished, did she? If you have a good reason for this, please explain.”
“Papa! I’m not at fault! The Shield Hero tried to do something terrible to me, so I just got back at him!”
“T-that’s right!”
No… that’s impossible. Both Ren and Itsuki looked unconvinced. As for Motoyasu… he’s too afraid of Raphtalia to join the conversation.
“No one in this world has the right to disrespect Naofumi-sama! The other heroes are nothing more than garbage! Naofumi-sama should be treated more favorably, but what is this treatment?”
“G-garbage!?”
“I’ll… just call it part of her personality and let that one slip, but it’s certainly strange.”
The heroes folded their arms and thought “””Still, this girl sure has a really bad personality.”””

Conclusion: The heroes will soon discover the conspiracy… maybe.
